TVP, Textured Vegetable Protein, is a cheap and super versatile protein source that can work in a variety of recipes! TVP is typically used in savory recipes as a meat substitution, but works amazingly well in baked goods! I love using it to make high protein cheesecake crusts, and high protein muffins and cookies! You’ll find even more high protein TVP baked goods recipes on this website, but these are a few of my personal favorites!

High Protein Peanut Butter Chocolate Cheesecake
You know how some people put a recipe on their gravestone? THIS WOULD BE MINE! This High Protein Peanut Butter Chocolate Cheesecake is 41% protein, which sounds insane. It's so good though that I would eat it even if it had no protein so it's just a bonus! This is an incredibly easy recipe to make; great for beginners! It makes 8 servings and would make a perfect pre or post-workout snack or dessert (also low-key, I will definitely be eating this for breakfast).
Using TVP in muffins can be a game changer if you're looking for a high protein breakfast; it adds protein but doesn't add the grainy texture or artificial sweetness that protein powder does when you use it in muffins.
This High Protein Chocolate Cherry Cheesecake is made with the magic of tofu and TVP! I have nothing more to say about this but apparently it will never come up in google search unless there are words here, so words. I am a human and I made this 🙂
While the TVP Cookies might obviously be “protein” cookies, these are just delicious on their own, and pack in a surprising 21% protein! My partner didn’t even know I had put TVP in these, and actually said they were better than the other muffin recipes on this site. The TVP works so well in these muffins – it gets nice and soft in the muffin body and a little crispy in the muffin tops! These are also pretty high in fiber! They are a great little pre-workout snack! If you want the macros to be even better, you can leave out the chocolate chips and craisins.
These high protein chocolate chip cookies are 30% protein and are the perfect pre-workout snack or breakfast! You can literally make these in under 20 minutes; absolute minimal effort! Comparing them to other protein cookies, like Lenny and Larry, the macros are sooo much better and these are significantly cheaper to make!
OK, so the Peanut butter chocolate cheesecake was my favorite thing ever, until I created this Triple Chocolate High Protein Vegan Cheesecake! It's 28 % protein and has 7 grams of fiber per serving, and is so easy to make! The filling is incredibly smooth and creamy and works great with the chocolate TVP crust!
Have you tried using TVP in baked goods for extra protein? It's mostly used in savory recipes, but I swear by it in muffins! Once it's baked, it has an oat-like texture!
Need a quick and easy high protein breakfast? Try these high protein strawberry muffins; protein brought to you by the magic of TVP. They take literally 20 minutes to make, and for me, 20 minutes to eat all 12.
These protein muffins are the perfect pre-workout snack or breakfast! With the magic of TVP, they end up at 18% protein without protein powder! Also, they are super quick and easy to make!
This Sweet Potato Pie is 27% protein without any protein powder! The crust has TVP (Textured Vegetable Protein) and the filling is made with Extra Firm Silken Tofu!
