Ingredients

Instructions

  • Make the High Protein Vegan "Bacon" Bits Recipe per the link above
  • You have a couple of options here – either cook frozen fries (like I did, because I felt lazy), or save a few calories by making your own in an air fryer or the oven. Either way, cook the fries in this step, either by package instructions or however you like to cook homemade fries.
  • Make the High Protein Ranch Dressing Recipe above; you will only be using 1/3 of the recipe for these loaded fries unless you want them really ranch-y 🙂
  • Make the Vegan Cheese Sauce Recipe per the link above.
  • Split your fries between two plates (this recipe make two servings). Add the cheese sauce, then the ranch dressing, and the bacon bits!

These High Protein Cheesy Bacon Ranch Loaded Fries are my most favorite thing I have ever made! They do take some prep if you want them to be high protein – for instance, we make our own “bacon” bits and high protein ranch dressing. But believe me when I tell you, this recipe is definitely worth the extra effort. This recipe makes 2 servings, or 1 serving if you’re feeling ambitious! 🙂

I would like to apologize for linking multiple recipes inside of this recipe. One of my main goals on this food blog is to keep all the recipes clean and concise because that’s something that’s always personally drove me nuts about recipes I’ve looked at. So for the good of this recipe not being a jumbled mess, I opted for recipe links; sorry if this is annoying to anyone!

Ingredients

  • High Protein Vegan “Bacon” Bits – this is one of my favorite recipes to make because it can be used in many different ways. Sometimes I like to cook a large batch during my meal prep for the week and use it in different recipes throughout the week. Honestly, it takes about the same amount of time to cook 3 x the recipe as it does to cook 1 x the recipe, so if you think you might want to use them in a high protein salad or something later in the week, maybe cook a double batch!
  • High Protein Creamy Vegan Ranch Dressing – this is a pretty easy recipe to make but will require a blender. For the High Protein Bacon Loaded Fries, we will only be using 1/3 of the recipe. This is kind of a weird thing to make only 1/3 of since it uses a whole block of silken tofu, so I would recommend making the full recipe and use the leftover dressing for other things – like the previously mentioned high protein salad or just dipping veggies in throughout the week!
  • Vegan Cheese Sauce – this is a super simple recipe that only take about five minutes and a small pot to make. We will be using the entire recipe for the High Protein Bacon Loaded Fries.
  • French Fries – so you’ve got a couple options here. Option one – be lazy like me and use frozen french fries. Option two – be an overachiever and make your own fries in the air fryer or oven. Option two will take longer, but it will reduce the calories a decent amount, so your choice!

Instructions

  • Pre-heat to whatever temperature you will be cooking your french fries (either use the package instructions or cook them however you would normally cook homemade french fries).
  • Throw the raw, unsalted cashews in a pot of boiling water for the High Protein Vegan Ranch Dressing Recipe.
  • While you’re waiting on the oven to pre-heat, you can start cooking your high protein “bacon” bits per the recipe link above.
  • Throw in the fries when the oven is ready.
  • Continue stirring your “bacon” bits.
  • I usually can multi-task cooking the TVP “bacon” bits with making the Ranch Dressing, so this is where I personally would start making the Ranch Dressing.
  • I would save making the Vegan Cheese Sauce for last as it only takes a couple of minutes.
  • Once you have all of your ingredients, layer the vegan cheese sauce on your fries, followed by the ranch dressing and “bacon” bits!
